POOL UPDATE 2011-04-17
Posted on Apr 17th, 2011
After several weeks of sparse activity down at the pool because of the weather, you may have noticed an increase in activity last week. The board decided that before the fence gets put in, that we prune back the trees along McAbee and Pampas, remove the privet trees, and cut back the ivy. Along with the privet trees, we also removed 5 bushes that became trees along McAbee. These bushes were producing berries that were making a mess on the sidewalk. The board felt it was best to remove these trees now and plant a few evergreens in key locations once the hardscaping is in.
We also had the pruners raise the canopy of the remaining trees and cut out the dead branches. This should allow them to grow in nicely for the summer months.
The estimated time for completion is still scheduled for the middle of May as long as the weather stays cooperative. Since this is only a few more weeks away, you should see quite a bit of activity to the pool starting with the replacement of the fence surrounding the facility this coming week.
The board is planning to use the website to give weekly updates on the progress.
